Job Description

We are seeking a candidate with strong web application development skills who will be responsible for development & maintenance of GE's internal document management solution – GE Libraries. The candidate will actively work on the design, hands-on development, implementation, and support of the GE Libraries Application for all GE employees.

Essential Responsibilities

• Hands-on software design and development.
• Act as the technical guide to the development teams, and act as the project lead, guiding the team through the development process.
• Responsible for guiding the development process from a technology perspective. Also guide implementation for middle & backend technologies with respect to web applications

Job Requirements

• 7+ Years' total work experience.

• 1+ Years’ experience working as a technical lead/architect.
BS in Computer Science, other discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ Years’ experience and working, hands-on knowledge of Java based web technologies & Struts framework and other web development technologies such as XML, XSLT, DHTML, DOM, XHTML, Web Services
• 2+ Years of understanding database technologies – Oracle, MySQL or equivalent
• 1+ Years of understanding .Net technologies
• Track record of successfully leading technical teams.

The candidate will also be responsible for code quality, adherence to good software development guidelines, and first-time-right statistics of any and all code that moves into the application. These responsibilities come in the context of managing deliverables in a very rapid development cycle, working directly with development teams around the world, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery of the development teams
