Responsibilities:

       Troubleshoot issues related with SharePoint Server, SharePoint clients and other technologies like FAST/ESP, SharePoint Search, and InfoPath.
       Deliver technical support for MS Share point Server and related technologies.
       Troubleshooting issues with integrated technologies like WSS, Active Directory, SQL, IIS and Exchange server.
       Effective communication to manage customers’ expectations.
       Participating in case and technical Triages.
       High customer satisfaction through timely and accurate solution for customer’s issue.
       Content creation.
       Meet customer and individual commitments.

Candidate Profile

       Sound experience in windows server (2007 and above) platforms and business applications.
       Knowledge of Windows 2003, FAST/ESP or InfoPath would be added advantage.
       Experience in Windows Active Directory Services and IIS.
       Adequate knowledge in SQL and exchange server.
       Knowledge of PowerShell and .Net would be an added advantage.
       Good understanding of Operating System and Networking Technologies.
       Strong skills in troubleshooting security-related issues involving NTFS, IIS and Active Directory / LDAP and SQL Server
       MCSE/MCSD certifications desired.
       Customer handling experience on technical issue is desired
       Ability to work through ambiguity and independently when other resources are not available.
       Good English Communication Skills - Spoken and Written (including technical writing).
       Strong Trouble Shooting and problem solving skills.
       Excellent customer Service skills and effective learning skills.

Role:
The person in this position will work in a team environment to support developers building applications using Microsoft Data Access Technologies. The role of a Support Engineer within the DS group focuses on delivering high quality technical support to developer communities.
The core duty requires providing fast and accurate resolutions to technically complex, politically charged customers while representing Microsoft in a positive, professional manner. DSD provides 24x7 support and may require candidates to work day, evening, night and weekend as needed.

The customer base ranges from small developer to large, sophisticated enterprise customers. Candidates should be comfortable discussing complex technical scenarios and solutions with varying customer skill levels leading to a deep understanding of the issue, root cause and resolution options.

Responsibilities:
·         Supporting customers on phone and written correspondence regarding technical questions and issues related to SQL Developer technologies.

·         Actively share knowledge with other engineers and develop efficient customer solutions.

Qualification & experience:

MINIMUM
·         Two years of experience in working on Windows and Web based applications.

·         Experience with one or more of the following languages or technologies: VB, ASP, COM, Web Services, VB.Net, C#.Net, C/C++, ADO.Net, ASP.Net, SQL Integration Services (SSIS), Visual Studio/Visual Studio.Net

PREFERRED

·         Degree in CS, or equivalent in work experience
·         Experience in software development
·         Excellent spoken and written communication skills
·         Effective Learning Skills
·         Hands-on experience in reading and interpreting source code to resolve customer issues
·         Experience with basic debugging
·         Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customer/executive level management on complex technical issues in audience acceptable terms
Technical Skills & experience:

MINIMUM
·         Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience in any of the following languages:
§  Visual Basic .NET
§  C# .NET

§  Visual Basic 6.0
·         Knowledge and experience with VB Script as used in ASP programming
·         Knowledge and experience with Microsoft database access technologies such as ADO, ADO.NET, ODBC or OLEDB
·         Relational DataBase Management System (RDBMS) knowledge and experience in any of the Database (ORACLE, DB2, SQL, Sybase, MySQL)
·         Knowledge of Microsoft® SQL Server versions 2000/2005.
