Key Responsibilities:
·
Interpret
and implement functionality from and beyond the IEEE 802.11xx / Wi-Fi Alliance
standards through to delivery, maintenance and documentation
·
Perform
requirements capture and technical feasibility of the firmware solution
·
Detailed
design of complex algorithms including enhancing and adapting existing design
to suit 802.11 a/b/g/n and ac chip requirements
·
Design and
develop system level resource management adhering to industry standard CPU
architecture
·
Design and
develop high throughput host interfaces with SDIO, USB and PCIx
·
Develop and maintain features with limited system resources
on chip.
·
Original
thought for solving complex problems in a tightly constrained embedded
environment with good understanding of heuristics, network algorithms and
computer architecture,
·
Should be
capable of understand hardware and digital specifications.
·
Task
definition and work breakdown including time estimation
·
Creates relevant documentation following the department’s processes
·
Contribute towards the continuous development of the
department’s processes
·
Assist/Lead external inter-operability and compliance test
events
·
Liaison with customers (depending upon project)

Mentors fellow team members with technical leadership

Stays current with firmware development methodologies and
upcoming IEEE / WPA standards

Shall be an active participant in building high performance
teams and expanding

participation in external bodies such as the Wi-Fi Alliance and IEEE standards
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have a strong
technical background, with recent hands-on experience in the development of
embedded software. The individual will need to show an awareness of the
software development process for writing software destined for ROM in high
volume consumer applications.

Expert C (and
assembler) programming skills with proven experience of writing efficient
code for low powered, memory constrained systems
|
Experiences in
developing MAC for 802.11 ac
|
Strong IEEE 802.11
MAC system knowledge with hands-on experience in design and development of
MAC firmware
|
Exposure to Unix/Linux build
environments.
|
Conversant
with embedded development tools, debuggers, protocol analysers(OmniPeek, Wireshark), JTAG, Logicanalysersetc.
|
Experience with Perl, Python or similar
scripting languages
|
Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills that can
be applied to resolve potential system
issues
|
Basics for RF communication systems
emphasizing modulation techniques for WLAN like CCK, OFDM.
|
Good understanding of chip development life cycle and
exposure to various processor architectures and peripherals
|
|
Strong
communication skills with ability to evaluate and create design documentation
detailing complex features and relationships
|
|
Strong
understanding of processor architectures with interfaces to various SOC
components
|
|
Experience
in Firmware architecture and design using established methodologies and
practices.

|
Hands-on experience withchip bring up and sound knowledge
of digital hardwarealong with ability to read board schematics

M.Tech/B.Tech:
