Project Manager - PHP

Job Description

·         Be a single point contact between client, management and development team. 

·         Interface with the client for requirements, clarifications and project review meetings.

·         Create project plan, schedule and assign resources. 

·         Responsible for managing and monitoring all team members involved in the project.

·         Monitor day-to-day activities and provide feedback to the TL/team.

·         Work closely with the QA Head to execute the various activities related to testing for the project. Like use cases planning, Test plan, Integration testing etc.

·         Monitor and enforce version control within the team members.

·         Manage risks and escalate to management at varied phases of the project development.

·         Report variances in schedules or team member performance and intra team issues to the PMs so that corrective action can be taken to overcome these.

·         Work closely with process team to ensure compliance of organization processes and suggest enhancements where needed.

·         Train and motivate the team towards achieving the organization and project goals.

Skills Required:

·         Project management skills with minimum 7-10 years of experience.

·         Expert in Core PHP 5.0, Different PHP frameworks, Mysql 5.0, Ajax, HTML, Javascript, jQuery.

·         Knowledge of Open Source Platforms like Wordpress / OSCommerce.

·         Knowledge of Open Source Frameworks like CakePHP / CodeIgnitor / Zend Framework  - not all mandatory. 

·         Aware of the current updates on technologies and able to suggest framework, package for implementation based on the client requirement.

·         Excellent Communication Skills.

·         Web Application development in PHP5.

·         Project planning, estimation, scheduling, monitoring, risk analysis skills preferred.

·         Strong Database design and optimization concepts.

·         OOP model development concepts.

·         Initiative taker, goal oriented and carries motivation.

·         Exposure to Agile methodology will be additional advantage.

·         Must have a good understanding of browser compatibility issues.

·         Must be able to meet deadlines. 

·         Team player attitude. 

·         Must be able to productize solutions, so that future projects can be more profitable. 

·         Introduce / train team members in new technologies, methodologies in order to deliver better projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

·         Education: B.E/B.Tech. from a reputed Institute.

·         Must have high initiative, leadership qualities, good Interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities. 

·         Proven experience in planning, execution and implementation of high quality software projects. 

·         Experience in client relationship management.

·         PMP certification is good to have.

·         Client interaction is a must.
