WebSphere Commerce Server Application Lead

Experience: 5-9 Years | Location: Cochin / Trivandrum | Job Code: WCS/Sr/2/14

Tasks and responsibilities

·         Translate business requirements into specific e-commerce system, application or process designs

·         Responsible for requirement gathering, gap analysis, designing and documenting WebSphere Commerce functionality and related enhancements/customizations

·         Development of features for a global multi-lingual E-Commerce website.

·         Implementation based on functional design.

·         Define and implement standards and best practices for software development.

·         Fixing bugs related to existing WebSphere Commerce e-site.

·         Migration of non WCS e-commerce websites to WebSphere commerce platform involving both data and functionality.

Required Skills

·         5+ years of software development lifecycle experience.

·         3+ years of experience on the IBM WebSphere Commerce B2C platform.

·         Experience in WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0 from requirements analysis through deployment and transition to support.

·         Experience in J2EE architecture and development including Servlets, EJBs and JSP, web services, JavaScript and HTML.

·         Deep hands-on experience in WebSphere Commerce subsystems - Catalog Management, Order Management, Member Management Sub-system

·         Strong understanding of the WCS run-time framework, Struts, front-end components, WCS tag libraries, WCS EJB, and Web Services.

·         Experience with object oriented principles and concepts.

·         Experience in using DB2 and developing and executing SQL.

·         Experience in application development using WebSphere Commerce.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem resolution.

·         Able to work well under pressure and handle crisis situations professionally.

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.

Desired Skills

·         Experience with SOLR search framework.

·         Experience with language set up in WebSphere Commerce

·         Experience in using Dataload utility for loading Data in WebSphere Commerce

·         Experience in using features in Feature Pack 5 and above

·         Experience in customizing CMC
